Partworks
De Agostini Publishing: the company operates in the areas of Partworks and of Direct Marketing, with a production that ranges from sample collections to reference with digital content, from hobby courses to educational and edutainment products for children, from products flow packs and trading cards to books, cards and video, up to products for the latest digital device (iPhone, iPad, etc.), with an activity of more than 120 launches in 53 countries where it operates. De Agostini has made his debut in the Partworks business in 1959 by launching, through the network of kiosks, the first dossiers encyclopedia in Italy, Il Milione. Today De Agostini Publishing, with a long editorial experience, moves its high quality content even in the digital world, confirming the global leading in publishing for disseminating knowledge.
Direct Marketing
Editions Atlas France and Editions Atlas Suisse: the companies operate in the area of Direct Marketing, mainly in French and German speaking countries. The companies work through the postal network and Internet by offering editorial and non-editorial products to a wide audience of customers who receive directly to their home deliveries. In particular, regarding the sale of non-editorial products, the companies operate through the brand Atlas for Men. Editions Atlas also offers online and distance training courses made by the Centre Européen de Formation.
General Reference
De Agostini Libri: the company coordinates and manages the publishing activities on the Italian market, focusing on the design and production of books, major works, tourist guides, maps and scholarly publishing. The latter is managed by De Agostini Scuola S.p.A., one of the leading operator of scholarly publishing with a production aimed at schools and institutions of all levels, and also at the University. De Agostini Libri's products ranging from traditional paper books to digital off and online, and include Books (illustrated works, the Italian and foreign fiction, books for children and teenagers), General Reference (encyclopedias, dictionaries, books of prestige and the most famous works of Utet publishing house), Cartography (atlases, maps, guidebooks, globes and the new site www.deagostinigeografia.it). De Agostini Libri is also present in the market "business to business" and online sales through DeAgostinilibri.it (www.deagostinilibri.it) created in partnership with Hoepli S.p.A.
Digital De Agostini
Division created to strengthen and develop the presence of De Agostini on digital platforms - television, online, new mobile handsets - identifying forms of communication that allow to expand the audience of De Agostini's contents. Among the priorities of this division there is the development of DeA Kids and DeA Super, satellite channels dedicated respectively to children (channel 601 on Sky) and teenagers (channel 625 on Sky). Refer to Digital De Agostini even the web tv www.deabyday.tv, which is intended to be a practical guide for daily life style, through a wide range of video and further information; and the site www.sapere.it, a portal dedicated to knowledge that hosts guides, dictionaries, news and an encyclopedia with more than 185,000 entries.
