Novara, 15 October 2009 - Following an agreement reached between De Agostini Communications SpA and Franco Tatò, Mr Tatò was today appointed as Chairman and CEO of Mikado Film SpA, the renowned Italian film production and distribution company, by its newly formed Board of Directors. As well as Mr Tatò, the new Board of Directors also includes Sonia Raule, Lucia Morselli, Marco Caputo and Nicola Drago. The agreement also gives Mr Tatò the right to acquire control of Mikado Film SpA by February 2010.

Mr Tatò said: "I am very happy with the agreement signed with the De Agostini Group, which gives me the opportunity to lead one of Italy’s most prestigious film distribution companies".

Paolo Ceretti, CEO of De Agostini Communications, commented: "With Franco Tatò, a businessman and manager of vast experience, joining the management team, Mikado Film will have new impetus and opportunities to meet important objectives.
