De Agostini

The De Agostini Group is a member of the Association of Friends of the Accademia dei Lincei through Utet. Constituted in December 1986, the Association establishes and develops permanent connections between the Accademia dei Lincei and the economic, business and manufacturing worlds.

As provided by its articles of association, it:

• formulates proposals for the study of scientific and technical subjects of substantial interest to Italy's life;
• assists in carrying out study and research programmes approved by the Accademia and operations for the preservation of its noteworthy heritage;
• carries out studies and research proposed by the Accademia.

The members of the Association are thus able to contribute ideas, organisation and funding for attainment of the Accademia's institutional ends, including the more extensive promotion of its activities in the wider economic and social context of the country. The Association is directed by an Executive Committee.
